Aug 18 , 2007. Gameplay we'd like to see on the 360.
Let's talk about the type of games the 360 needs before we're flooded with FPS about aliens or demons taking over the world. Although, it looks like we'll reach that point by the end of 2008 with each new FPS title.

This is Ico, the Playstation sleeper hit. It's a platform puzzle game, but what made it so great was the interaction between the two main characters and their self discovery of each other. It's as if they were real adolescents. And unlike other games, there's nothing about revenge or honor. It's just two young people stuck in a place and have to help each other out to escape. The 360 could definitely have more games of this type that are character driven.

The 360 is definitely lacking a game like the Playstation legend, Zone of Enders. The game had you piloting a mech, but the mech was fast and able to move effortlessly in 3D space. It carried a huge arsenal of weapons and powers and you had to fight incredible bosses that pushed your skills to the limit.

The Gamecube didn't have many mature games, but it did have the best one, which was Eternal Darkness. It was a horror survival game, but used many special effects to play with your mind while you're playing the game. No doubt a game like this would sell many copies on the 360. And from what we hear, this game or its sequel might be headed to the 360.

Yes, it's Shenmue. And yes, the sequel was on the Xbox, but there still isn't anything like it on the 360, which is a shame because it was a great game. The blending of action and story was never better, although the slow pacing had many action fans annoyed. But we found it entertaining from start to end.

There's no sequel to Crimson Skies. It didn't sell well according to the developers, but we still loved it. They story was ripped straight from those old movies about Nazis and deathrays. The flight mechanics were great and you had a variety of ways to take down the enemy.
Variety is a good thing. Variety is what made the Playstation such a dominant brand. It made the SNES and NES a dominant brand. And we strongly believe it would make the 360 a dominant brand. We know that variety also means you get alot of crappy games, but it also means you'll find hidden gems like the ones above.
