Sep 29 , 2007. Halo 3 PR hell.
We admit it. Last week, we said to buy the Collector's version of Halo 3. And we were completely wrong. You see, the collectors version has loose DVDs. What does that mean? The DVDs float around during shipping. So when you open that collectors case, you're DVDs are completely scratched. Great.

But it get's worse. You think that with all that PR, Halo 3 would be the greatest thing since, well Halo. But it's not. Infact, it isn't even that different. It's very good and we play it a great deal online, but the story, the gameplay, the music, the graphics, it's all very standard. And when you play online, you'll here the standard kiddy voice using the N-word every ten seconds. Great.

The Microsoft PR department should get big raises for creating this much hype in a pretty franchisey product. They've beaten both Koei and EA on this one. The only good thing that came out of this experience was that at least we didn't buy the Legendary edition. However, this doesn't mean Halo 3 is bad or anything. On the contrary, it's one of the best games on the Xbox. So go out and buy it. Just don't let the hype ruin the gaming experience and you'll enjoy the game greatly.
