Besides the obvious NFL roster update, this version of Madden includes a rewind feature for plays, a huge improvement in AI, and much better graphics. There's even a training scenario assistant that tries to help you improve your gaming strategy. There's also a boat load of special features like rivalry matches, much better control of players during gameplay and after touchdowns. The developers have really gone out of their way to up the ante on the amount of content available for Madden, perhaps to make up for the lack of features the last two years. The result is a game rich with the type of details that a sports fan or gamer would love if they have time to check out all the options.

The major improvement in the AI is the ability of the AI to adapt to your gameplay style and predict how you will play. Madden even allows you to set how sophisticated the AI can get in figuring out your gameplay style. It's an amazin feature that makes Madden as hard or as easy as you like. There's even the ability to handicap matches so players of different skill levels can compete head on. The actual gameplay remains about the same as last year, with a few mini-game type moves to keep the action going. The main modes are still franchise and superstar. Superstar mode now has the options of improving your skills as a football player by completing mini-games. It's a cool way to buff up your player like in RPGs.

The Madden graphics have been improved. The textures look much more realistic, especially the playing field. There's more people on the sidelines now and the crowd looks amazing. The commentators are Cris and Tom, and they do a reasonable job. There's plenty of cameras for every angle you could imagine during and after a play. The music is diverse enough and features some great bands and artists.

Madden finally has online leagues so now you can compete for that much beloved Super Bowl ring. The leagues are based on the server with trades, drafts, and playoffs. It's a much welcomed feature for a game that has plenty of single player punch. This is definitely the most feature-packed version of Madden. Besides the obvious Madden junkies, anybody who is looking for a deep sports game should get this version of Madden. It's definitely the best version and has enough content to satisfy any sports fan.
