Jason Bourne is a CIA agent that has enhanced reflexes and fighting skills. The game has some tie-in with the movie. As Jason, you basically go between flashbacks and his current problems with the CIA who are trying to assassinate him. It's an ideal way of highlighting the action sequences that fill this game and provide a few clues on Jason Bourne's past. For nobody that really cares, Matt Damon's likeness is not in this game.

The game involves plenty of fistfights and gunfights, with a few car chases added in to break the redundancy. The main action is in the fistfights where Jason can execute combos, blocks, and the timed combo. The timed combo is basically a combo with the right timing so the camera slows down and it looks like a scene from the movie. It's pretty cool, but takes practive to execute. The shooting is just the duck and cover kind found in other games. The driving sequences are awful. The cars move like something out of a PSX game.

The environment is semi-destructible, but with low quality textures and special effects. It's a real disappointment. The character models vary in quality depending on what clothing they wear, but there is definitely a lack of polygons. The music is the action movie type you would find in games like this, but it's kept silent often, only exploding when needed for suspense. There's alot of thumping sounds as Jason beats his enemies into submission.

The game has around 8 to 10 hours of gameplay and you can play it again to unlock the best sequences for replay. But there's no multiplayer or coop since there's only Jason in this game. Jason Bourne has great fighting sequences, but everything else is lacking. The game is a good rental or buy if you like great fighting sequences. Otherwise, we skip it in favor of other games that provide better action.
