Call of Duty 4 Xbox 360 ReviewSeems like the developers got the hint that nobody wants to play WWII FPS games anymore. Which is good, because we're tired of hearing old men crying about losing their friends and acting all humble. Instead, we got loudmouth trigger happy modern day soldiers fighting, well ridiculous odds. But that certainly is a major change of pace.

The story has you stopping Russians and Arab terrorists as Modern Warfare Xbox 360they try to revive the Soviet Union, which is kinda weird since the Soviets tried to takeover the Arabs. But well, at least it's not aliens invading the world. So you'll play as a Brit and then as a US Marine, and blow alot of stuff up along the way. The short campaign has plenty of locations and a few major set pieces that really flesh out the ridiculous story.

Call of Duty 4One interesting note about the game is the ability to call in air support for an air strike, or helicopter support. That's right, just like in real life. Now you're probably wondering what's the point of playing then? You'll have to earn air support by killing a few soldiers in a row without dying. Not that big of a deal unless you're playing on the highest difficulty setting. You'll also get to specialize in the types of weapons you carry and you'll get skills that increase accuracy or allow you to carry a rocket launcher around. This is kinda strange since you get to carry one around in other games without needing some special skills.

The graphics are incredible. There's plenty of great visual Call of Duty 4 Reviewmoments thanks to the set pieces. You'll see great explosions, debris, fog, and water effects. The characters are all very detailed and the sound effects are just as good. This is a high quality title from an experienced developer that's been doing this series for a long time, so you know you're getting great 360 visuals. However, the enemy AI and your teammate AI is just not that great. This is not surprising since this game relies more on multiplayer for gaming experience.

Call of Duty 4 is a short game that will last six hours or less. You'll have to go online to get your money's worth out of this game. There's all the required online modes for up to 18 players in many of the locations in the game. There's special abilities and special soldiers that make the multiplayer experience great. Call of Duty 4 is a solid multiplayer game, although we do not recommend this game for single player purchase because it is very short. But if you are a multiplayer gamer, this is the game to get.
