Clive Barker Jericho Xbox 360 Review CheatThere's evil in the world thanks to God's firstborn, who was imprisoned, but is now trying to get out and wreak havoc. A special team of soldiers must time travel to stop the creature from appearing. And surprise, the battle ends up in the firstborn's realm where anything goes in a battle to end all battles. If this sounds familiar, it should. The plot is as original as a Toyota Camry.

So what keeps you playing this game? The answer is Jericho Xbox 360action. You can control one of seven characters in this squad based FPS. Each character has their own special powers and weapons, which you'll need to use whenever possible. The game is set in narrow corridors filled with demons. Which means you have seven characters and an army of monsters trapped in the same narrow dark corridors trying to kill each other. So you're squad is constantly being used as cannon fodder. To get around this, you'll have to constantly switch team members and use special powers to reduce the number of team deaths.

Xbox 306When you die, you'll have to resurrect your dead team members. This happens quite often if you don't switch characters and use their special abilities. The abilities include slowing down time or setting monsters on fire. You'll also use these abilities to solve puzzles. To add to your problems, everything in this game is extremely dark like Doom 3.

When you can see your enemies, they are very detailed Jericho 360with great animation and textures. The sound really fits the ambience nicely as you'll travel through different time periods. So the game does have the high production values you would expect from a 360 title. We especially enjoy the atmosphere, which matches the time periods. It's like you're trying to solve a mystery by uncovering details about the firstborn as you travel through time, even if the plot is obvious since this is a videogame.

We're going to have to take this game down a notch for not having multiplayer. We don't know why a squad based FPS doesn't have multiplayer because the plot is so predictable. But then again, it would be tough fitting seven people in the narrow corridors that make up this game. It would probably be like a gang fight inside an elevator. Once you play through the game, that's it. It's enjoyable and unrelenting in action, but won't last you more than the few hours it takes to finish the game.
